Mesa City Church

Serving others is our privilege! Through our Serve Teams, we continue to make Mesa City Church a place full of life and wholeness. When committing to a team, you are joining a group that will help you develop into the person God designed you to be. As you continue to find wholeness on your journey of becoming, you will have the unique privilege to help others find the God who uniquely fashioned and formed them.

There are three simple steps to finding your place on a team;
- Read through the descriptions of our 5 main Serve Teams
- Sign up to join a Serve Team
- Receive all the training you need to feel confident in your role
The success of our mission is because of our Serve Teams. As we work together to build a place of becoming, we will see our community come alive with people who are living their God-given purpose! Thank you for being part of Mesa City Church!
Hospitality

The role of the Hospitality team is to create an atmosphere where every person feels like we have been waiting for them to arrive. This happens by making them feel seen and important as they walk in, cared for while in our services, and connected through events, groups, and relationships.
Ushers
The purpose of the usher team is to make every person feel like we have intentionally planned for their participation in service. This includes helping them find a warm and connected place to sit, confidence in knowing how service elements effect them, and clarity in how to find a next step as service concludes.
Greeters
The purpose of the greeter team is to make sure every person knows how honored we are that they would take the time to be with us. This starts with the acknowledgment that we see them and know they could have gone anywhere else instead of taking the time to be with us. That’s why we have prepared so hard for them to be with us, and work to make them feel honored!

Generations
The role of the Generations team is to give every young person the opportunity to know God and become who He designed them to be! This happens through the creation of safe and secure environments where kids and students feel comfortable sharing their life with their leaders and their peers.

Infants
Our number one priority is to create a safe and secure environment where parents feel confident leaving their loved one in our care. This includes intentional practices for caring, loving, and educating their baby as they become the person God intended them to be.
Early Elementary
Our number one priority is to create a safe and secure environment where parents and children feel comfortable being in our Early Childhood services. This includes creating fun and exciting atmospheres that express the love of God as we partner with parents to help children become who God designed them to be.
Elementary
Elementary students deserve the chance to know God and His plan for their life.
Our goal is to create a space where elementary students explore the gifts, talents, and abilities that he crated them to utilize as part of his workmanship.
Middle school
Every Middle School student needs a mentor and like minded peers who will help them become the person God designed them to be. Our goal is to create space for middle school students to wrestle with their faith as they learn what they believe and why they believe it to be true.
High School
High School students deserve the chance to connect with mentors and peers around life projects and service opportunities that will connect them to a better understanding of how their faith influences the person they were designed to be. Students deserve the chance to connect with others who are similarly activated to make a difference in their community.

Production
The purpose of the production team is to create a distraction free environment where the gospel is creatively - yet clearly - presented. This is a vital team designed to resource the service with the support needed to bring consistent clarity throughout each service element.
This team is responsible for creating an atmosphere that helps illuminate Jesus as the purpose for our services. This is done through excellence in sound, lighting, and visual support of the message. This means managing the opportunity for distraction to arise while eliminating anything that might pull the focus away from the gospel presentation.

Communication

Communications
The purpose of the communications team is to create integrity of messaging that resonates in every outlet of the church, as each ministry does its part to help us become who God designed us to be. This includes anything that represents Mesa City Church as a place of becoming.

Artistic expression
This team helps to create clear avenues for artistic expression that can be utilized to enhance the telling of our weekly messages. The main focus of this team is to accurately asses the ability for a variety of artistic expression to be present in Mesa City Church Services, ministries, and community engagement opportunities.
Announcements
The goal of the announcement team is to coordinate the promotion of Mesa City Church ministries and the fulfillment of our mission. This will be properly achieved through various avenues such as social media, postcards, signage, and church-wide campaigns.
Preaching/Teaching
The preaching and teaching of Mesa City Church is a key component to bringing the gospel message to life. Preaching and teaching, however, should be in alignment with the main message being delivered through every avenue of communication. This team will help assure that all communication aligns with who we are as a church community.
Worship Team
Create authentic moments in the presence of God that continue to support the message of Mesa City Church. As part of the communication team, you will help lead people into the presence of the Lord by example in living a lifestyle of worship. As you do this, you will communicate what it looks like to 'become.'

Groups

As we each walk the journey of becoming who God designed us to be, every person needs a safe space to wrestle with what they believe and why. This growth happens best when we receive wise guidance and genuine support along the way. We believe small groups provide the ideal environment for this—places where people can ask honest questions, explore their faith, and seek understanding together. Group leaders, hosts, and co-hosts play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure space where individuals can freely discover what they believe and why it truly matters
